May 21, 2023. Brookline Safe Routes to School Bike Rodeo. Two Sessions: 10 - 11 AM and 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

On May 21, 2023, the Brookline Safe Routes to School Task Force will be presenting its third annual Bike Rodeo! This free event will take over the parking lot at Town Hall/Pierce School and will include:

- Helmet fit and placement

- Safe bike riding skills

- Basic maintenance (please arrive 30 mins earlier if you need minor repairs!)

- Properly locking your bike

After the rodeo, kids will be able to test their skills and take a ride around the block with the BPD bicycle unit.

The Bike Rodeo is open to K-6th graders and their families. Please be aware we are not teaching kids how to ride, just teaching safety to those who know how to ride. We will have a separate area for younger kids where they can practice riding supervised by their families.

Participants need to bring their bikes and be accompanied by an adult. Bring your helmet if you have one, but if not or if you have outgrown your old one, helmets will be provided.

Register for one of the two available time slots (10 - 11 am or 11:30 am -12:30 pm). One ticket per child.
